Description

This Strawberry Lasagna is a no-bake, layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy sweetened cream cheese filling, and fresh sliced strawberries. It’s a refreshing, easy-to-make treat perfect for warm days or any occasion where a light, fruity dessert is desired.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 package Graham Crackers, crushed into fine crumbs (About 1012 sheets)
  • 6 tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted

Filling

  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 8 ounces Whipped Topping, thawed (can substitute with homemade whipped cream)

Topping

  • 3 cups Fresh Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: In a bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers with melted butter. Mix well until all crumbs are evenly coated with butter.
  2. Press the crust: Firmly press the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish, creating an even layer. Allow it to set while preparing the filling.
  3. Make the cream cheese filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until thoroughly combined and light.
  5. Assemble first layers: Spread half of the cream cheese filling evenly over the prepared crust layer in the baking dish.
  6. Add strawberry layer: Evenly layer half of the sliced fresh strawberries over the cream cheese filling.
  7. Repeat filling layer: Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture on top of the strawberries, smoothing it out.
  8. Top with strawberries: Finish with a final layer of the remaining sliced strawberries, spreading them to cover the surface.
  9. Garnish: Optionally sprinkle powdered sugar over the top layer of strawberries for added sweetness and visual appeal.
  10. Chill the dessert: Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
  11. Serve: Once chilled and firm, cut into squares and serve cold for a refreshing dessert.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
  • For a lighter version, substitute whipped topping with homemade whipped cream made from heavy cream and a little sugar.
  • This dessert is best served chilled and should be kept refrigerated until serving.
  • To prevent the crust from softening excessively, chill it separately before adding toppings if time permits.
  • Feel free to substitute the graham crackers with digestive biscuits or similar crackers if desired.
