Description

Kool-Aid Grapes are a fun and flavorful frozen snack made by coating green grapes with Kool-Aid powder and freezing them. This simple no-cook recipe offers a tangy, sweet treat that’s perfect for hot days or as a unique party snack. The grapes absorb the fruity Kool-Aid flavors while remaining juicy and refreshing.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Kool-Aid mix (any flavor)
  • 3 lbs Green grapes

Instructions

  1. Freeze the Grapes: Begin by washing the green grapes thoroughly and spreading them out on a baking sheet. Freeze the grapes for about 1 hour until they are solid enough to handle easily.
  2. Remove Stems: Once frozen, twist off the stems from the grapes. Freezing helps make this step easier and less messy.
  3. Rinse the Grapes: Place the stemmed grapes in a colander and rinse them under cool water to remove any surface impurities, then drain completely.
  4. Divide and Flavor: Separate the grapes into ziplock bags, one for each Kool-Aid flavor you want to use. Add the Kool-Aid powder mix to each bag, seal, and shake vigorously to coat the grapes evenly with the powder.
  5. Freeze Again: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread out the coated grapes in a single layer. Freeze for 24 hours until fully frozen and the Kool-Aid coating has set.
  6. Serve: After freezing, the Kool-Aid grapes are ready to be enjoyed as a sweet and refreshing frozen snack.

Notes

  • You can use any flavor of Kool-Aid powder to diversify the taste.
  • Make sure grapes are dry before adding Kool-Aid powder to ensure the coating sticks well.
  • Store the frozen grapes in airtight containers or ziplock bags to prevent freezer burn.
  • This snack is perfect for summer and can be made ahead for convenience.
