Ingredients
Scale
Chili Sauce
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can petite diced tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup water
Casserole
- 8 hot dogs
- 8 low carb tortillas or wraps
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F and spray a 9×13 inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Chili Sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine cooked ground chuck, petite diced tomatoes, water, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the sauce thickens nicely.
- Layer Sauce and Hot Dogs: Spoon some of the prepared chili sauce into the bottom of the casserole dish. Roll each hot dog inside a low carb tortilla and place them seam-side down in the sauce to keep them intact.
- Add Remaining Sauce and Cheese: Pour the remaining chili sauce evenly over the wrapped hot dogs, then top the entire casserole with shredded cheddar cheese to add a rich, melty layer.
- Bake the Casserole: Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the casserole is set through.
- Serve: Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving. Add your favorite keto-friendly toppings if desired and enjoy a hearty, spicy meal.
