Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine or penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Cook the chicken: Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and 2 tsp Italian seasoning. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  3. Prepare the creamy sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream and stir frequently until the sauce thickens slightly, around 3-4 minutes. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine chicken and pasta: Slice the rested chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Add the drained pasta and sliced chicken back into the skillet with the creamy sauce. Gently toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated with the sauce.
