Description

Refreshing and creamy condensed milk lemonade made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, sweetened condensed milk, and a hint of lemon zest. This easy-to-make lemonade is chilled with ice and garnished with fresh mint and lemon slices, perfect for a hot day.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups cold water (adjust for desired sweetness)
  • 1 zest of 1 lemon
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish, as needed
  • Lemon slices for garnish, as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine lemon juice and condensed milk: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the freshly squeezed lemon juice and sweetened condensed milk until the mixture is fully combined and smooth, forming the base of the lemonade.
  2. Add cold water and adjust sweetness: Gradually add 2 cups of cold water to the lemon-condensed milk mixture. Stir well and taste the lemonade. If it is too strong or sweet, add more water incrementally until you reach your preferred balance of sweetness and tartness.
  3. Add lemon zest: Stir in the lemon zest to infuse the lemonade with an extra fresh citrus flavor.
  4. Prepare pitcher with ice: Fill a large pitcher with enough ice cubes to chill the beverage thoroughly.
  5. Pour mixture and mix: Pour the prepared lemonade mixture over the ice in the pitcher and stir gently to combine and chill evenly.
  6. Serve and garnish: Serve the lemonade in chilled glasses garnished with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lemon on the rim for a refreshing and attractive presentation.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of cold water based on your sweetness and tartness preference.
  • Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.
  • For a frosty drink, chill the lemonade mixture in the fridge before serving.
  • Mint leaves add a fresh aroma but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • This lemonade is best served immediately but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
