Buffalo Chicken Sliders Recipe

  • Author: Sarah
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Buffalo Chicken Sliders combine tender shredded rotisserie chicken with tangy buffalo sauce, creamy ranch dressing, and a blend of melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, all nestled in soft King’s Hawaiian rolls. Perfect for game day, parties, or a flavorful snack, these sliders are baked to golden perfection with a buttery garlic topping.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Mixture

  • 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Rolls and Topping

  • 1 package Kings Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Set this aside for brushing on top of the sliders later.
  3. Mix Chicken Filling: In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded rotisserie chicken, Ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until well combined.
  4. Prepare Rolls: Carefully slice the Kings Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a 9×13 inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Assemble Sliders: Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Then sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the chicken layer.
  6. Add Top Buns and Butter: Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the cheese layer. Brush the tops generously with the prepared melted butter and garlic mixture for added flavor and browning.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and flavors to meld.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops of the sliders turn a golden brown, indicating they are perfectly baked.
  9. Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, slice between the rolls, and serve warm for a delicious and crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken to save time, but cooked shredded chicken breast works as well.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to your preferred spice level.
  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching closely to avoid burning.
  • These sliders can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven to maintain crispness.
