Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Mixture
- 3 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
- 1/2 cup Frank’s buffalo sauce
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
Rolls and Topping
- 1 package Kings Hawaiian Rolls (12 count)
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Set this aside for brushing on top of the sliders later.
- Mix Chicken Filling: In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded rotisserie chicken, Ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until well combined.
- Prepare Rolls: Carefully slice the Kings Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a 9×13 inch baking dish that has been sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread the chicken mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls. Then sprinkle the remaining shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over the chicken layer.
- Add Top Buns and Butter: Place the top halves of the rolls on top of the cheese layer. Brush the tops generously with the prepared melted butter and garlic mixture for added flavor and browning.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and flavors to meld.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops of the sliders turn a golden brown, indicating they are perfectly baked.
- Serve: Remove the sliders from the oven, slice between the rolls, and serve warm for a delicious and crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken to save time, but cooked shredded chicken breast works as well.
- Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to your preferred spice level.
- For extra crispiness, you can broil the sliders for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching closely to avoid burning.
- These sliders can be prepared ahead and baked just before serving.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven to maintain crispness.
